Day 1 - Departure from Home Airport - Arrival in Lima

Day 1 - Departure from Home Airport - Arrival in Lima

Depending on what time your flight will arrive in Lima, you might have an overnight connection there. If you do, then you will be on the first morning flight to Cusco. If you do not have do to an overnight in Lima, then you'll be heading directly to Cusco that same day. The views of the Andes from the flight tp Cusco are just breathttaking!

Day 2 - Arrival in Cusco and transfer to Ollantaytambo

Day 2 - Arrival in Cusco and transfer to Ollantaytambo

Upon arrival in Cusco, you will be taken on a private transfer (either car or bus) to the picturesque town of Ollantaytambo. This is the easiest way to get acclimated to the high altitude, as Cusco is at 11,152 feet, and Ollantaytambo at 9,160! The drive is roughly 1h40 minutes, and very scenic! Once arrived at your destination, you will be taking to your hotel for check in, and freshen up. You'll then have free time to explore around this quaint little town that also has some very nice ruins! We highly recommend renting a horse and a guide for a half day trip around the town!

Day 3 - Train Ride to Aguas Calientes

After a nice breakfast, you will then Embarq on one of the most scenic and peaceful train rides anywhere in the Wolrd! The Vista Dome train ride has 360 clear views all around, as the roof s made of clear glass! The mountains, river, and vegetation all around is just beautiful! The ride will take you approximately 2 hours, and upon reaching Aguas Calientes, you will be taken to your hotel for check in. Today, you will have the chance to wonder around this quaint little town located at the base of Machu Picchu. There are plenty of great restaurants to choose from, as well as a few shops, and spas. Youll need to get to bed early as the next morning will be an early rising!

Day 4 - MACHU PICCHU!!!

If you do not want to be stuck in the crowds, you'll have to start heading up to Machu Picchu very early, and possibly just before sunrise. Youll have the option to hike a top Machu Picchu, or wait for the first bus up to mountain. Once up there, you will et a private guided tour of one of the most iconic sites in the World, and have the chance to spend as much time as you want up there. There will also be an optional hike a top Huayna Picchu, the famous mountain that is in every picture you have seen! The hike is definitely difficult, and roughly 1h30 to 2 hours to the top, and same thing coming back down. The vews from up there are absolutely spectacular, and well worth the hike if you are fit enough to do so. Before heading back down to Aguas Calientes, make sure you get your Machu Picchu stamp for your passport!!!

Day 5 - Machu Picchu back to Cusco

Day 5 - Machu Picchu back to Cusco

After a nice breakfast, youll have the option to spend another half day exploring around Aguas Calientes, or start heading back to Cusco. You will be taking the Vista Dome train ride back to Cusco and the journey back is roughly 3h15. Once back in Cusco, you'll head over to your hotel for checkin, and relax before dinner that night.

Day 6 - Explore around Cusco

Today, you will spend the day wondering in and around the picturesque town of Cusco. There is plenty of history there, and the architecture will remind you a lot of some old towns in Spain. The food, the people, and the culture there is just wonderful. You will get a full day private tour with an English speaking guide, and will tour the highlights that this town has to offer!

Day 7 - Departure back Home

Day 7 - Departure back Home

After breakfast, you will pack your bags and check out of your hotel. Time permitted, you might be able to do some last second shopping, before being dropped off at the Cusco airport. There you will embark on your journey back home via Lima and then your final destination!
