Day 1 - Departure from Home Airport - Arrival in Zimbabwe
Departure from your home airport, with a connecting flight arriving in Johannesburg the next day. You will then have a flight that will arrive at either the Livingstone Zambia airport (LVI) or the Victoria Falls airport (VFA) depending on what connecting flights are utilized in Johannesburg South Africa.
Day 2 - Arrival & Botswana - Sunset Game-Cruise
Arrive at either the Livingstone Zambia airport (LVI) or the Victoria Falls airport (VFA) depending on what connecting flights are utilized in Johannesburg South Africa. There, you will be greeted by the local FEAT Travel Guide who will provide you with your airport transfer to the Mowana Safari Lodge Resort, located in Kasane Botswana. You will check in for two nights, on an all inclusive package (Breakfast, Lunch and dinner). You will then be taken on a spectacular sunset game cruise on the famous Chobe River, where you will get up close and personal with some of Botswana’s most beautiful and gigantic elephants. Return to the hotel for dinner, and a good night of rest for your early morning game drive.
Day 3 - Botswana - Sunrise & Sunset Game Drives
Get ready to get up early, as we will embark on a very early sunrise game drive through the astonishing beauties of Chobe National Park. We will be looking out for animals, and admire the beautiful African Sunrise. Around 10am, we will be back at the Mowana Lodge where you will enjoy a full breakfast buffet. You will then have the chance to enjoy the resort's finest amenities, including the infinity pool, the spa, and even golf! Around 4pm, we will return to Chobe National Park where we will enjoy a stunning African Sunset game drive. We will then return to the hotel for dinner and a good night of sleep!
Day 4 - Hwange National Park
07H00 to 08H00 – Breakfast at Chobe Safari Lodge 08H00 – After breakfast you will be picked up & driven to Hwange Main Camp from Chobe Safari Lodge where you will be going to Hwange National Park for a Game Drive into Camp on an inclusive basis of all activities, meals, and accommodation. Park Fees of $20p/p for Hwange paid directly at Main Camp. Included at the camp: Accommodation, all meals, scheduled game activities, local drinks, laundry (excludes alcoholic beverages and park fees)
Day 5 - Hwange National Park - Game drives
Nestled under a grove of ancient false mopane trees, Davison’s Camp is situated on the remote southern boundary of Hwange National Park in the private Linkwasha concession. Named after the founder of Hwange National Park and its first warden, Ted Davison, the camp overlooks an extremely productive waterhole that attracts a variety of plains game and predators. This 20-bedded camp, with its 7 twin bedded units, 1 Honeymoon Double Unit and 1 family unit which sleeps 4 comfortably and separate main area, comprising a lounge, dining room an open air fire area, offers a wonderful bush experience, as well as a plunge pool. The Linkwasha area includes many diverse habitats, including Kalahari savannah, acacia woodlands, as well as palm islands and teak forests. This habitat diversity attracts many different animal populations and over 400 species of birds and the area is known for its abundant wildlife, particularly the predators, as well as large herds of elephants and buffalo during the winter months. Summer months offer a complete contrast, as many of the plains animals (and their predators) migrate to this section of the park to enjoy the lush grazing on the open savannah. Daily game activities include game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, or guided walks in the early mornings and evenings, while during the siesta hours, guests can view game coming down to the waterhole to drink from their tent verandah.
Day 6 - Zimbabwe Transfer & Victoria Falls!
This morning after breakfast at a time to be advised, you will do a game drive out of camp to Hwange Main Camp where you will be met and driven in a Bus from Hwange Main Camp to Victoria Falls taking just under two and a half hours. On arrival into Victoria Falls town at approximately 13H00 you will go straight to your Hotel where you will check in for two nights on a bed and breakfast basis, and drop off your bags. You will then be picked up for a guided tour of the falls having lunch at your own account in the rainforest before your guided tour of the falls around the one of the seven natural wonders of the world, the Victoria falls, none by the local Tonga people as the mosi-oa-tunya falls (Tonga language meaning the smoke that thunders falls) and telling this amazing waterfalls story. Late afernoon, we will have the chance to have a dinner sunset river cruise on the Zambezi River! This will be a great way to cap off another amazing day in this beautiful town!
Day 7 - Victoria Falls - Optional Activities Day!
06H00 to 10H00 – Buffet Breakfast at your own time From 10HAM to 5PM, you will have several Optional Activities of your choice and your own expense to choose from. The most popular ones being; Devil's Pool, where you get to sit on top of the Falls on the Zambia side. Lions Walk. where you get to walk along some of the most amazing creatures on earth. Bungee Jumping, if you dare so, and an helicopter tour above the magnificent falls! Around 7PM – You will be picked up and driven to the Boma Place of eating and entertainment where you will try some of the delicacies of Africa prepared in for you on an open African fire, get to try crocodile tail, impala stew, barbecued warthog and etc amongst other regular foods for those not willing to try something different. A beautiful and tasty dinner spread on your last night in Zimbabwe!!!
Day 8 - Flight back home or Optional 3 days extension to Cape Town
After a nice breakfast at our Victoria Falls Resort Hotel, we will be heading over to the airport for our flight back home or to Cape Town for the optional 3 days extension. If you so choose to go on to Cape Town, you will have the chance to go on a few excursions including; Table Mountain and have breathtaking views of the city below. Visit the Stellenbosch wine region and taste some of the local wines and foods. Go up close and personal with the cutest penguins youll ever see. And if you dare, head down to Gaansbaai and test your greatest fear while going cage diving with Great White Sharks!
